The Many Faces of Rest: Rest A return to the self.

You may know that you are tired yet find it difficult to slow down.

You may notice guilt appearing when you take time for yourself.  Perhaps there is a voice that tells you that you should be doing more, achieving more, or supporting others before tending to your own needs.

For many people, rest is not simply about sleep.  Rest can involve permission, safety and self-compassion.  It may require us to challenge long-held beliefs about worth, productivity and what it means to be enough.

🌼 Gentle Reflection

  • What happens inside you when you stop?

  • What feelings arise when you give yourself permission to rest?

  • Is there a difference between being busy and being fulfilled?

  • What kind of rest might your mind, body or heart be asking for?

🦋 A Daisydot Thought

Perhaps rest is not the absence of growth.

Perhaps rest is where growth begins.
